BIOGRAPHY
Music Tells A Story
Gerson Medina began his musical studies in 2006 at the age of10 in “El Sistema” in Táchira – Venezuela. Two years later he started his Violin studies and since then he has participated and played in recitals and concerts at the "Nuevo Mundo Festival & Academy" (2008 - 2012) in Maracaibo-Venezuela, "National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela", (2010-2011) which was conducted by Sir Simon Rattle and Gustavo Dudamel, "Merida Music Festival" (2011) in Merida-Venezuela. ​In 2012 Mr. Medina won the first prize at the Nuevo Mundo Festival & Academy National Competition in the youth category.
In 2014 Mr. Medina got a scholarship to start his music studies at Shenandoah University later in 2016 he was one of the winners of the Bach-Handel Festival held at Shenandoah University, during the same year he had the opportunity to play the piece STOMP! for violin solo by John Corigliano for the composer himself at Shenandoah Conservatory.
